Betting Limit and Poker Betting Structure

Some fixed limit poker variations set the limited number of raises during every round, that is known as “the cap”. As a rule the quantity of raises is three, that’s why the bet is allowed to be raised three times in the round. During the last poker rounds the cap is often increased.
Poker games with the fixed limit poker betting structure are counted to be very secure as it is quite difficult to lose all money at once as a result of the set limits. So fixed limit game variations are very popular with the first time players.
Pot Limit
In such poker games the players no matter how much they are to call have chance to bet or raise the amount which is equal to the amount of the whole pot. Traditionally the minimum wager in pot limit games is the amount of the big blind and each bet may be raised just by the sum that is higher or equal to the previous raise. Thus, the wagers in pot limit poker games are very big in the last rounds of betting that’s why these poker games are not so secure like the fixed limit games. Moreover, there is no betting cap in poker games with the pot limit poker betting structure.
No Limit
In no limit games there are no betting limits. The players have chance to bet even all the chips they have at once. Though there are no highest limits as in all games the min betting size is set by the poker rules. The raises sizes in no limit poker games must be the same or higher than the preceding raise and there are no any caps. In no limit poker games every gambler may wager all his/her money by ”all in” option and in such case the side pot has to be made. The gambler with the strongest poker hand receives the main pot (together with his/her all-in bet) and the next best poker player receives the side pot.
